Anchoring

Anchors have a number of uses, such as supporting walls for deep excavation, slope containment and slab anchoring to combat underwater pressures, they can be temporary or permanent. Permanent anchors usually require anticorrosive and protective treatment for each element of the anchor installation.
Anchors are usually composed of a tensile strength element (rope, wire, fibreglass, or steel bars), which is introduced into a hole and is filled with cement mix.
The tie rod is a device capable of transmitting tensile stresses applicable to a rugged region of the terrain.
McMillan also offer innovative mechanical anchors, with the possibility to remove these anchors upon completion of the works.
